A Slice of Paradise - Preskil Island Resort Revisited

Since I last visited in 2016 this resort has undergone a major refurbishment and is set to reopen on the 15 May 2019 so read all about this amazing resort

The New Le Preskil Resort

Arrival

When we arrived at Preskil Beach we actually arrived by speedboat however most clients arrive at the fantastic resort normally by private car and its just a short 15 minute transfer.

Preskil Beach Resort is on the South-East coast of Mauritius. The resort is the only hotel in Mauritius to be on a private peninsula, which gives you a feeling of your own private island, with a large beach which gently slopes into the breathtaking turquoise coloured lagoon making it good for families.

From their veranda or balcony, the Superior rooms offer a breathtaking view of Pointe d’Esny’s turquoise lagoon, as well as direct access to the beach.

Spa Days

Relax and unwind in the Banyan Spa which offers a different relaxation concept using precious stones. You will be asked to complete a questionnaire to identify the gemstones best suited to your emotions and energy.

Say I do

The hotel is very popular with weddings, but they still only offer one wedding per day with a dedicated team looking after all your desires and dreams whilst you are there; couples can choose to get married on the beach, in the gazebo or even on one of the catamaran yachts

Dining

The resort has three restaurants offering something for everyone, Rendez-Vous, the main restaurant and where your day starts with a buffet breakfast with eggs and omelettes cooked to order whilst for lunch and dinner you will live the “local market experience” for lunch and supper, discovering a creative cuisine made from the freshest local ingredients and best imported foods. You will taste different flavours from all four corners of the world, all the while interacting with and observing the chefs at work.

Rendez-Vous
1810, the beach restaurant is located on the beach facing the turquoise lagoon, it offers Mauritian specialities for lunch and let yourself be impressed with beautiful dishes (mainly seafood treats) for dinner.

1810 Beach Restaurant
Mosaïc, the Mediterranean restaurant is open for dinner most evenings and is rich in flavours coming from the different cultures it brings together… At the Mosaïc, you will travel across this region by tasting a variety of typical dishes specially prepared by the Chef, either with fresh Western ingredients or delicious Oriental spices.
Whilst at Medley, the main bar, cocktails are in fashion, especially after a long day under the hot sun of a tropical island… the resident mixologist will propose a selection of creative cocktails for all tastes, served in modern or somewhat eccentric glasses. Thanks to their “Best Brews” concept, you will also be able to enjoy one (or more!) of 12 different beers from 12 different countries. And if you are a wine lover, there are over 50 carefully selected wines for you to choose from.

Ahoy

The hotel has its own catamaran which we were lucky to have to ourselves for the morning for a cruise over to Ile Aux Cerfs with time for snorkelling and a delicious BBQ lunch cooked on board before being dropped off at the island for an hour, this beautiful paradise island has stunning beaches, restaurants, shops and even a golf course and where you can walk between the two islands through a narrow channel.

Activities

Why not enjoy some of the resorts complimentary water sports such as stand up paddle boarding or windsurfing or if you prefer land then there is speedminton, pentanque, volleyball, tennis, table tennis and football.

Enjoy a swim in their new infinity pool. Whilst if you are a scuba diver then the spectacular underwater scenery in the unique marine park island just a short distance away is amazing.
