New Years Eve in Airlie Beach and the Whitsundays Cruise

Day 28 This morning we picked up our camper van for the drive to the Whitsundays, this was a relocation  camper that was booked out over New Year and so we had 24 hours to deliver it. So we collected our Wicked Camper from the Brisbane depot and headed up the Bruce Highway to Airlie Beach. Its a very basic camber with a cold box for a fridge and a gas ring to cook on. Our first stop on route was Noosa as it had been recommended that we stop there.  Because it was still the Christmas holidays it was very busy and we were unable to park so I just took a quick photo before we were on our way.   We drove through some lovely places and the views were stunning.. A quick photo had to be taken at Gin Gin, a place my husband said I should live due to my love of gin. Exploring in and around Melbourne

We had arrived late in the evening at Melbourne Airport from our Emirates flight from Singapore.   We had booked accommodation a short journey from the Airport and so 15 mins later we arrived at our home for the 1st two nights of our Australian Adventure. Day 1 We booked an Uber and headed into Melbourne for a day of exploring.  We had been told that the weather in Melbourne can vary and you can get 3 seasons in one day, however our first day was one of the hottest days they had had of the summer.   Our first stop was to purchase a travel card for our time there, its the cheapest way to travel as it gives you travel on the train/trams/buses, the myki card   is the most economical way to get around the city. Melbourne has a great Tram service that connects all the areas of Melbourne, however the City Circle Tram provides a free service which is great for not just the local residents but also Tourists.   The City Circle trams...
